Driving on the Right

When I went to Grand Cayman, they drove on the left, like they do in England. I watched them drive for a couple of days and had no problems staying on the left, but it did confuse my 6’2″ male companion, to the point, where he just didn’t watch. I noticed that many people had not experienced, driving on the left and did not care to try. Unfortunately they had to rely on cabs or buses, which can really put a crimp on spontaneity. So I thought you might like to know which islands you can drive around on the right side of the road, like we do in the US. But after watching the video below, you might want to stick to the cabs.

The ABC Islands, Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao, all drive on the right. They are Dutch and I guess in the Netherlands they drive on the right also.

The Dominican Republic has a great road system, but watch out for the scooters and motor bikes, they are everywhere.

Puerto Rico is a great place to get a car, the island is quite large with so many magnificent places to see.

The French Islands of Guadeloupe, Martinique, St. Bart’s and St. Martin are all right side of the road drivers. Only Dominic (French Island) is a¬†lefty.

There are three more Dutch islands that you can drive on the right, they are; Saba, Stratia (St. Eustatius) and St. Maarten.

And then of coarse there is Cancun, Cozumel and the Riviera Maya, but in Mexico the roads could use some work.
